I am currently attending graduate school at Syracuse University in which I am pursuing two master's degrees in Public Administration and International Relations. My family and I recently moved to Manlius, NY to begin grad school. Upon completing my master's degrees, I plan to seek a career in the Foreign Service through the United States Department of State, where I will be able to be stationed overseas in U.S. embassies. I recently graduated from BYU-Idaho (December of '08) in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. During my undergraduate degree, I was able to become a member of both the National Political Science Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society. I was also blessed to receive full academic scholarships for much of my academic career due to my high grades. I also worked as a Spanish tutor on campus for a period of six months in which I became certified as a regular and advanced tutor. This experience allowed me to help my peers to grasp the information that they were learning and it helped me understand how to truly empower each student to master the material. I am a lover of knowledge and I thoroughly enjoy seeing others catch the fire of learning. My strengths lie in my capacity to teach others in a simple fashion and encourage them to teach themselves.

Hobbies

Although I studied political science, my personal interests are in music. As a high school student, I played in several rock bands and recorded music. I still love music and continue to compose and record my own, but now the music is more mellow.
